This is the 2x2 cube I wish I had started out with. It's such an amazing value for its quality at its price point! YJ MGC is the line I think of now when it comes to quality with a budget. I sent this cube (along with a matching 3x3) to my younger cousin and he loved them both. He saw me with my 5x5 recently and expressed interest, so I put a lot of thought into how best to give him an introduction. I didn't want him to go out and get a cheap, low quality cube (like I started out with), where the jamming and difficulty sliding would impair his ability to practice the moves or have fun with them. But I also had no way of knowing whether he'd end up enjoying it and sticking with it, so it wouldn't make sense to send top of the line cube$ either. But looking through my own MGC branded cubes, and reading reviews and watching comparison videos, I felt confident in this as my choice to gift him, and it worked out splendidly! I was so pleased when he followed up with pictures the next day and happy confidence in having mastered the beginner method on both. I'll probably be sending him more YJ MGC cubes, like a 4x4 and 5x5, before too long ;)
