Stardust Lubricant

Stardust is great if you want a faster and more lively cube. It gives the puzzle a crisp, quick feel while still keeping it smooth. I noticed my cube felt more responsive after adding it, and it works really well when combined with other lubes. If you like fast turning cubes, Stardust is definitely worth trying.

This was the second lube that I got and it shipped really fast. This stardust lube has a slightly sweet smell to it, which is what I liked about it the most. I bought the 5ml bottle so I thought it was going to run out quick but it actually lasted so long. Final thought, very very fast lube.

I really like this lube it’s so fast but it runs dry quick so you have to reapply it every 3 to 4 days if you cube every day for hours. I used this on a regular Rubik’s cube that sounded like it was going to break with the finger tricks and I mixed it with Martian to even it out and it was smooth and fluid. I recommend this on slower cubes just a few drops will do. Anything above six drops is diminishing returns. And if it’s too fast use Martian or galaxy to balance it out. You can even combo it with lunar to give it a light speed with a hint of cushion but it will be very hard to control with the harder algorithms. Highly recommended.

I've tried out most of the SCS lubes and stardust, although extremely speedy, is runny and hard to keep it where i want it. Stardust also tends to run dry quickly. I would rate it 4.5 if allowed, but moved it down to 4 instead.

Lunar has the perfect balance of speed but stays where i need it and lasts quite while. (As opposed to stardust which OMG is fast, but is too runny and goes away very quickly.) I also like martian, but not nearly as much as lunar, which i keep coming back to.

The picture is my ranking of the SCS lubes from best on the left (Lunar) to my least favorite on the right (cosmos). I used them on a bunch of Little Magic cubes to do a lube comparison for this review.

I really like stardust, but don't tend to reach for it as often as Lunar.

This lube is good at making your cube fast, it has a good scent but 1 issue. It does not last for a long time. You need to relube the cube quite a bit, but it is other wise a good lubricant.

It is definitelt fast! But it doesn't last that long and I am worried about the possibility of rusting given it's a water based lubricant instead of silicone. But I have no proof of that being a thing .. I like it! 💙

This is an amazing lube, but very fast. It is hard to control. Maybe that is my fault though, because i could have got a slower lube to pair with it. Overall, amazing product though

pure speed no gained friction, do be carefull when lubing because it comes out as fast as it makes the cube.

It is really fast. I recommend adding two to four drops of slowing lube for a great even hand feel. Plus it lasts longer than expected actually.

The first time I got this live I immediately lubed my main cube and my PB increased by 4 seconds! Definitely recommend.

I think this is a water-based lube. It performs incredibly well, and is a very fast lube. Combined with a slightly slower lube like Martian I think this would work really well, but as a standalone, I can’t guarantee that this is the best lube to get. However, for a speedcuber this is totally worth it.

Good lube but it does only last a day or 2 so make sure there is another better lasting lube in your cube so it doesnt dry out

Tastes great, a little expensive though.
Also makes my cubes very fast. If you want fast cubes, buy this.

Wanted to try the stardust. It even made my cubes smell like bubble gum

This is a great lube. I use it in almost every puzzle I have because I like extremely fast cubes. I use 1 drop in 2x2 along with 3 other lubes and use lunar and stardust in my 3x3. I use quite a bit in big cubes to make it fast (I use like 7 drops) but I find that I have to relube them very often especially in MGC cubes. It would be great if it lasted a bit longer

Great lube. I might sound like a traitor here, but it actually pairs really nicely with ****’s DNM-37.

The lube is very fast while it lasts. Really good quality and really easy to turn. The other lubes I used have absolutely no match against this lube

I love this lube. Its soooo fast. It should just be called speed dust or sum because its so fast. I would totally recommend this for setting up budget cubes or cubes in general. For me, this is a must have!

It works exactly as described. It speeds up turning without gumming the cube up at all!

The Lubricant works very well and my cubes feel fast but controllable. I like the product but my 15ml bottle did not come all the way full only 3/4 of the way, like it shows in the product photo.

i got this lube and i made my 7x7 really fast

I find that this lube works best to speed up a cube that is a little bit to slow. It does not really change its feel, ie make it smoother or gummier, just faster. My one complaint is that it will stain cubes unlike the silicone based lubes, but this should not be an issue if you are careful.
