Customers praised this magnetic puzzle for its smooth turning, excellent control, and quality build. Many called it "the best" option available. However, some reported it needed tightening out of box to prevent pieces popping out, and occasional lockups were noted. After a break-in period, performance rivals top competitors.
- I love the feel of this cube. The construction is very solid.
- I found that my turning was more accurate with the Spark
- magnetic, easy to turn, feels good in the hand

This cube is the best cube when you tighten it
It is not as fast as the mgc or the aofu but it is more stable and is very controllable
At the price they're offering it, it's the best 7x7
I love the feel of this cube. I think I see why cubers say this is a "slow" cube, but it feels very good to turn. After a break in period of a few months and lots of solves, the cube feels just as fast as the MGC.
The construction is very solid. I haven't had any pops, but I'm sure its possible. I have the stickered version and the colors look great.
As with some of the other X-Man cubes, they have a more unique feel than say a Gan, Moyu, or MGC. But after the break in period, I would put this cube next to any of those in performance. Excellent cube and well worth a try.
i wanted to try one of the 'bigger' cubes (i love my GAN 5x5) and this one fits the bill. magnetic, easy to turn, feels good in the hand. probably not going any bigger than this, takes me too long to solve :)
Recently got this 7*7 cube in and have been enjoying its quality in its build. Strong durable cube that moves smooth and with ease.
Excellent control, great cube!
Amazing Quality Cube! The turning is great, please don't corner cut but thats great too, smooth, just amazing cube in general. Pls don't buy a budget 7x7 just save a bit more for a better one, my friends QiYi 7x7 was choppy and ended up exploding lol.
I think this is a great cube and the magnet strength is perfect for me but it does pop a lot out of the box so I had to adjust the screws a bit
The best 7x7 ever
first 7 by 7 and its op
Nice cube very good but the yj mgc is better
it was actually good it is really smooth
I own a well set up and broken in 356x and the feel of the Spark is equal if not superior. Not that the feel the same, It is more in the realm of Control ability. The one problem is the lockups. While they are rare in a solve they suck to fix. At the moment I only have about 70 solves but it is 100% a new main!
This cube has easily become my main and I can't stop using it all the time. Also I had a great experience purchasing it from SCS, these guys are very professional and I received my order earlier than I expected!
Originally, I was going to give this a 3-Star because it tends to pop more frequently than the Hays 7 M, but in the end it turns faster than the Hays 7 M which is why I gave it a 4-Star
Honestly, I would recommend the Hays 7 M because it's only a bit slower and is definitely smoother and it's way less frequent to pop or explode.
I have this cube for a half year but I still hate it. :D
The turning is a bit smoother compared to the Hays7 but it lockups extremely many times and the pieces are falling off so it's impossible to get a good average. I just missed a pb avg5 because of a lockup... If you can speed up the Hays7, it can't be comparable to that.
But if you want to practice without a times, it can be okay.
Nothing more to say, you can buy it for sure.
Some of the middle pieces keep falling out and they are super hard to get back in. Good cube and fast but need to tighten up the middle pieces
If you watch j perm’s videos, he said to make the cube have less pop out, you can make the cube tighter, it does not affect the cube itself. So if you complain about the pop out and lock ups, just tight it up, but not too much.
best 7x7 I've tried
To start this off, I just want to say that SpeedCubeShop is amazing. This puzzle shipped in 2 days which is better shipping than I've ever had from ****. Anyways, the spark is just incredible. OOTB it was stiff and needed some setup. After adjusting tensions slightly and lubing it, it became waaaay better. I've had it for several months now and it has only popped once. (In comp, unfortunately, but I still made cutoff.) Corner cutting is 1.5 to 2 cubies for me even though I don't think it's loose at all. The turn speed is great on all layers. However I don't really like how the 3rd and 4th layer magnets are stronger than the 2nd and 5th layer magnets. Other than that this cube is flawless. Would recommend this cube to anyone who is willing to pay $60!
This cube has amazing outer layers. In the beginning it had many lock ups
The Hays 7M is very comparable, but I found that my turning was more accurate with the Spark and my times were a little better on average as a result
I have the Hays7 M and recently purchased this cube as well. I am not the fastest 7x7 solver my any means, but even out of the box with just a few drops of DNM 37 and some weight one on the pieces with no lube on the core, this cube performs great. I have a slightly rougher turning style, and this cube is better for me than the Hays so if you also have a rough turning style, I suggest you get it. The stickerless shades are nice too and I have no trouble telling them apart. That said, I am not colorblind in any way so if you are your experience may be different.
My favorites in order:
1) Yuxin Hays 7x7 M
2) Moyu Aofu GTS 7x7 M
3) X-Man Spark 7x7 M
If you can only have one then it should be the Hays 7x7.
This was a birthday gift for our grandson who specifically wanted this item, but didn't expect to get it. He was very happy with it.
