2x2 Speed Cubes

Choosing a 2x2 speed cube

Our budget magnetic 2x2s come from QiYi, YJ, and MoYu, and any of them makes a sound first cube. The puzzle itself is simple to learn: a 2x2 has only eight pieces, all corners, with no centers or edges.

Core magnets and ball-core

Flagship 2x2s from GAN and MoYu add magnets inside the cube, not just between the pieces. Core magnets place extra magnets in the center for stability, and a ball-core (a spherical center fitted with its own magnets) adds more of that stability through fast turns.

Finishes, smart cubes, and sizes

UV coating adds a harder, slicker surface that resists wear from long sessions. Bluetooth smart cubes connect to a phone app that tracks every turn, which helps when you time and review solves. The range also covers 9cm big 2x2s, keychain minis, and glow-in-the-dark and printed designs for gifts or the desk.
