Customers praised this magnetic 2x2 cube as "the best" with "amazing corner cutting," smooth and fast turning, and highly customizable settings. Setup improves performance significantly. Some noted concerns about corner twisting, pieces being loose, durability issues, and spring noise. Good value for price.
- The corner cutting is AMAZING! Fast and customizable but not too customizable!
- This is the best 2x2 I've ever used! Better than the gan 2x2s.
- It turns very fast and very smooth.

This thing was kind of mid. Good for its price but I prefer the WeiPo or Gan 251
I had an excellent experience ordering my MoYu 4x4 from SpeedCubeShop. The ordering process was smooth and straightforward, with detailed product information that made it easy to choose the right cube. I also appreciate the setup options and clear descriptions, which show how much SpeedCubeShop understands cubers’ needs.
My order shipped very quickly and arrived sooner than expected. The cube was packaged securely and arrived in perfect condition. Right out of the box, the MoYu 4x4 felt amazing—smooth, fast, and very controllable. It was clear that care was taken in the setup, as the cube didn’t require any immediate adjustments to perform well.
Performance-wise, this MoYu 4x4 really stands out. The turning is extremely smooth with excellent corner cutting and minimal catching, even during fast solves. The layers stay well-aligned, and the cube feels stable without being too tight. It handles both fast turning and precise finger tricks very well, which is especially important on a 4x4.
Overall, I’m very impressed with both the MoYu 4x4 and SpeedCubeShop’s service. Between the fast shipping, great packaging, and high-quality setup, this was a fantastic purchase. SpeedCubeShop continues to be my go-to cubing store, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable cubes and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again.
I like it better than the Gan 251 m pro.
Ootb, it’s really sandy, dry, and flimsy. After setup, it’s light, fast, and has a hollow feeling. I think this cube suits a very specific turning style (because it’s not the most stable cube), but I like it a lot.
good cube not that expensive.
The corner cutting is AMAZING!!!😍🤩 Fast and customizable but not too customizable!
Pieces are too loose, and way to easy to accidentally corner flip when solving quickly.
It turns very fast and very smooth.
Very smooth turning
I'm not the biggest 2x2 fan, but this is the best 2x2 I've used. After I set it up it was pretty good at corner cutting, fast and smooth. Out of the box it was crisp, papery and pretty fast. I had to slow it down a little bit to make it more controllable. Overall, very happy with this cube.
Review:
Out of the box, this cube was not that impressive. That doesn't do much justice though, because almost every time I've gotten a new cube intended to replace my main, I liked my old main, that was set up, better than my new cube, out of the box. I immediately started playing with the settings to better the corner cutting. The first problem is that you can't actually get great corner cutting on this cube. The other problem is that corner twisting is easy. It took a while, but eventually, after adjusting the springs, screws, and magnets, lubing the core and pieces, and breaking it in, I actually got the performance pretty good.
Details:
Out of the box:
Corner cutting: Max: 1 piece(45˚)[bad] At ease: 1/2 piece(22˚)[bad]
Corner twisting: easy[bad]
Feel: fast, dry, hollow, airy, tactile, bumpy
Reverse corner cutting: Max: 2/3 piece(30˚)[good] At ease: 2/3 piece(30˚)[good]
After setup:
Corner cutting: Max: 1 1/5 pieces(53˚)[pretty good] At ease: 2/3 piece(30˚)[okay]
Corner twisting: moderately hard[good]
Feel: controllable, wet, hollow, airy, tactile, bumpy
Reverse corner cutting: Max: 4/5 piece(36˚)[great] At ease: 4/5 piece(36˚)[great]
Advice:
Do not take off the cap on the red, white, and blue corner (the corner with adjustable magnets in it) as sometimes the magnet adjustment mechanism can explode and you have to find the tiny little mechanism pieces and put them all back together in the cube.
Summary:
Overall I think this is a cube with good everything, however, there is a tiny gap left where the cube cannot corner cut. This is true on almost every cube, but since the reverse corner cutting is so good, and the regular corner cutting is bad, the gap is in an area that is more common to be corner cutting in, so you will get more lockups while solving.
I hope this review helped you :)
This 2x2 is a perfect balance of smooth turning and flexibility and corner cutting. Definitely better than the MGC. You should get this if you need a new 2x2. It will instantly be your main.
Great cube but how to change the magnet settings are a little confusing since there isn't a pamphlet explaining how to change the settings of the cube.
Good for the price but it has bad spring noise as well as breaking on me the first month of using it. Good cube, but please be careful with it.
Better than the mgc 2x2, this is my main and it is amazing, you should buy it.
This is the best 2x2 I've ever used! In my opinion, it's better than the gan 2x2s. At a competition, my good friend used his 2x2 (I can't remember what it was), he got an average of 4 and was into second round. He tried this and loved it so I let him use it for second round and final, and he broke his average record and single record using this cube. He loves it, I love it, and you will too if you get it.
I love this 2x2! It is really good! With a liitle bit of Lube, its a really fast and stable one too. I just love it!
I'm not sure why reviews on this cube are so low. This is the best 2x2 on the market outside the gan 251 leap, but that cube is 40 USD. I wouldn't say its cornercutting is groundbreaking, but it's not as bad as these reviews make it out to be. The adjustable magnets, tension, and spring compression make for the most easily customizable cube too, as the Gan requires you to take the springs out.
This cube has a weird feel and corner cuts arent that great . Adjustig the magnets litterally not make a different . I give it 2 stars because spring system and prize
I loved the cube, but after a few months, a piece broke into 2 pieces 😢
I love this cube. It is my new main. I can customize it to my very specific liking.

Absolutely amazing, i was expecting something good with it being apart of the WR series but to say i was blown away is an understatement, it instantly was my main over the Gan 251M explorer edition. The turning was super smooth and fast, however a little sandy out of the box. There was also some spring noise, but with proper setup it wasn't a problem anymore. The only gripe I can think of is that the difference between light and strong magnet settings is hard for me to notice. The magnets are perfectly fine though and I don’t think i would want them any stronger than its strongest setting. Its just fantastic. Best of all such quality price for such a smooth, fully adjustable 2x2.
Great cube good for the price
Great cube it has adjustable magnets I really like
