Customers praised this compact 7x7 cube that's "the size of a 3x3" with magnetic features. Reviewers said it's "fast, controllable, and surprisingly stable" with smooth turning after break-in. Ideal for casual solving and portability, fitting easily in pockets. Some noted it's less suitable for speedsolving due to small size and occasional cap pops with use.

  • It's fast, controllable, and surprisingly stable.

A true 7x7 the size of a standard 3x3 cube

This is a fun little cube! It's the size of a 3x3, but it's a full 7-layer cube. Out of the box, it felt a little catchy and needed some breaking in. After a quick application of Lunar lube, it smoothed out nicely. It's fast, controllable, and surprisingly stable. The size difference is insane: next to a regular full-size 7x7 (which now feels bulky in comparison), this mini version is incredibly comfortable to hold and turn for long sessions. I'll use it as one of my travel cubes since it fits in a pocket. If you're into larger cubes but want something more portable (or just love the novelty), this is a fantastic pick. Highly recommend.

The only 7x7 I use these days

I have so many cubes, I’ve started storing some away in closets and boxes. What’s left is a shelf of puzzles I tend to go back to, over time. Most are 3x3s, but there is a 4x4, a 5x5, and a 7x7 hanging out with the threes, and that 7x7 is this one. It’s the only 7 I solve at all. Love that it’s the same size as most of the 3x3s, I love the gear box it comes in, and it’s the best, smoothest 7x7 I’ve ever tried.

Way cooler than I expected

Not the fastest big cube ever, but it's a lot smoother than it looks. I can't believe a 7x7 this small actually exists. Normally, my main cube is 5x5, but this is starting to make me a convert of bigger cubes. All the funny ofa 5x5 with a bit of the challenge of 6x6 but no need to keep track of center alignment. I swear I'm faster on this than my MGC 6x6. It's my only 7x7 currently. I thought it would just be a novelty at first, but I dont think I need to look for a better 7x7 yet. This tiny hardware packs a punch so long as you turn accurately, but evem 3x3 stage has surprisingly doesn't corner-cutting. Sorry to yall who use M-slices...you're gonna need mouse hands if you plan on using that technique. Solving this cube is so fun it doesnt even feel like a chore the way a full size 6x6 feels to me. This is the tapas of cubes: bite-sized but full of surprises

SUPER COOL ULTRA MEGA AWSOME AMAZING CUBE

This is the best 7x7 I have ever owned even though it is only my 2nd I still love it it is a great cube you jusymt need to get used to the small layers. What I do is I just multipleayers at a time then turn them back. Overall it is amazing and it's great for speedsolving with a little practice. 😀

The best cube for casual solves👑(follow up)

At first I thought the caps of the cube didn't fall that often and would be great for cubing in public areas like buses. But the more you solves the more often it falls out. I think it's becoming more loose as you solve it. I almost lost a cap once in the bus. I won't be doing it in public places where I might lose it if it falls off. But it's still great for traveling because even if it falls you can retrieve it easily. So I will give it a 4 star instead. Don't use it outside!

The best cube for casual solves👑

For casual cubers -> It's an amazing cube! It's literally made for casual cubers. Its compact so you can cube while traveling and since it pops a lot less than other 7x7s it's really nice to carry around knowing that you won't lose any pieces. And the outer texture feels a bit more like uv coating than glossy plastic but not full uv.(it's like between uv and glossy plastic) but it has some oily feeling and it can be a bit slippery but you can't really feel it when your outdoors. I had exactly two cap pops and one piece pop so far which one of the caps was actually my fault because my nail accidentally got caught between the pieces😅 But I have done like almost 50 solves and only three pops is really good for a 7x7 for this small of a size. Definitely recommend for casual cubers👍
For speedcubers -> The reason I bought this cube was because since I only had a 3x3 and was getting a bit boring I wanted to try speedcubing big cubes. And since I go outside a lot because of studying I wanted a compact cube as well. And for some reason I thought a 7x7 was going to be the right choice to start with(which was a mistake). And when I tried the cube the turning was actually pretty good but just way too small to do some seriously fast turning like a 3x3. And realized in order to be fast with a 7x7 I needed a 65 to 67mm cube which was obviously too big to carry around. So now I only do casual solves with the 7x7 and bought a 5x5 instead to get into big cube speedcubing.
Conclusion -> Great for casual cubing but not for speedcubing. For those who are getting into speedcubing big cubes I recommend starting with a 4x4 or 5x5 depending you want more parity or not. And don't be cocky like me and regret all decisions😅 And since these days companies like qiyi have really good budget 4x4s and 5x5s that actually perform well you can buy those ones first instead of spending over 30$ on 7x7s. I am personally a speedcuber and don't really like casual cubing but I'm not going to rate this cube low just because I'm not a casual cuber. Since this cube is probably the best choice for casual cubers.
And one important note for speedcubers who want to try casual cubing. Don't waste money just to try casual cubing! Most speedcubers will not enjoy casual cubing as much as speedcubing. So unless you know how much you enjoy casual cubing don't try on expensive cubes👍

My sons favorite cube

This quickly became my son’s favorite cube. And that’s saying something. Very good quality. He keeps it in the cool box it came with to carry in his backpack.

Very cool!

I really love this little cube. The magnets seem to work great, and it’s just impressively small for what it is. It was a little tight when it first arrived but it got better after a couple solves.

Best Christmas gift

Bought this for as a Christmas gift. My kid literally plays with it for hours . It also brought his grades in math up. He also improved his all motor skills. Highly recommend it

Tiny puzzle

Turns super smooth and fits my hands well. Some of the corner tiles were disassembled when I opened the cube.

Bought it for the novelty, stayed for the quality

I bought this cube after seeing a SCS post on instagram for it thinking that it would just be a fun novelty. It turns out that it's a great 7x7 by all counts. It's a bit too small to be viable for speedsolving as most peoples' fingers will be too big to reliably do slice moves, but I find myself reaching for it more than my mgc 7x7.

Oh it also comes in this really cool box that opens using gears.

I'm buying this cube

I'm buying this cube for 2 reasons.
1. It's the size of a standard 3x3!! 🤯
2. It comes with a crazy box that literally has gears

Great for collectors, decent for speedsolvers.

This cube is a super cool sight gag. For collectors, it’s an awesome cube. I however bought this thinking it would be good for speedsolving, it’s an ok cube, but the size definitely causes some problems.

Because it’s so small, the corner cutting on inner layers is pretty bad, it only really turns when perfectly aligned. Loosening it helps a bit, but also can cause big pops. With really accurate turning, i’m sure it would be great, but small misalignments are an issue.

3x3 stage feels great though

My favorite 7x7. In a way, the best one ever.

Performance alone is at least four stars. It's about as good as the YJ mini cubes, maybe *slightly* more catchy, or a little slower. Solving experience is lovely, especially after some break in.

The reason I claim this is the best 7x7 is just because this fits in my pocket! (I wear baggy jeans with huge pockets, and admittedly, I have carried the YJ MGC 7x7 around before, but it's uncomfortable.) Because I can carry a 56mm 7x7 so easily, I have been solving 7x7 more often in the past few days than I ever have before. As a "grown-up" cuber (whatever that means lol), I can't solve all the time. No 7x7 enables me to practice as frequently as this one does, and consequently, no 7x7 has led me to improve as quickly as this one has.

It's my favorite 7x7, and if your situation is anything like mine, it'll be the best 7x7 you've ever had.
