JPerm RS3 M 2020 3x3 (Magnetic)

Short story: It’s a J Perm … 5 Stars of course.

Longer story: I did not get into cubing until about 3 years ago. At that point J Perm was winding down his cubing channel and moving on to the next chapter of his life. Good for him. His contribution to the cubing community lives on.

I got the JPerm RS3 M 2020 3x3 (Magnetic) FREE, from SpeedCubeShop by building up point from buying puzzles and completing reviews (like this one😉). It’s a fun cube. This cube will never be my “main”. It might not get used that much, but it is iconic nonetheless. I’ll have to get a special stand for it and display the J perm logo so everyone can see it from amongst all my puzzles. I’m used to faster, looser, more modern cubes. But it’s cool to use a cube from a guy who is getting sub 5 second solves with it. It’s about nostalgia. Thanks J Perm and thanks SpeedCubeShop.

I’ve had this cube for 2 years now and the quality is still amazing and it has great reverse and Normal corner cutting I highly recommend it especially with the j perm set up the only problem I’ve had is the sticker getting nasty

This cube is fantastic. I love this cube so much.
I got it using my reward points and it is so worth it.
has the best corner cutting of any possibly ever, well over 45.
it has a heavenly sound, feels very stable, had a 23 second solve with it. Absolutely would pay 25$ for it. The magnets are really good with easy adjustments.

My first 3x3 speedcube. I really enjoy this puzzle because of it's magnets and smooth turning. I like how you can adjust it to your preference. It comes pre-lubed out of the box. My only negative thing to say about this puzzle was that the yellow side has this strange black mark that doesn't go away. Overall, I highly recommend this puzzle to anyone looking for a faster 3x3.

Might not have bought it yet but this review will help me buy it. Update it is a really nice cube and will be my secondary cube.

I had no expectations, I have spent $250+ on 3x3s and did not think that this was going to be better but it was free so I got it with rewards points. The first solve tied my personal best and felt so much better than any others I have ever used. Easily five stars.

I have been cubing for many years. I learned cfop from jperm years ago and ordered this cube, it still is my favorite 3x3 to solve daily even years later.

my friend has this and its amazing, so I spent a ton of rewards points on this. it finally arrived, and boy, it is SLOW. idk how jperm used this but its so tight ootb. however, if you do your own tensioning and setup this thing is great and scs did an amazing job with the lube setup.

This is a really good speedcube. It is set up with really fast and smooth lubes, and the settings are very compatible with the cube performance itself, with the exception of the tensions being set a little tighter than my personal liking. However, there are a few things to point out.

First off, this cube comes really tight. After a few solves on the Jperm settings, I backed the cube down to elasticity 3 ( Jperm had it on 7) and loosened the **** by a full turn. This made the cube feel way better to me, and sped it up a bit more which helped me get far better times.

The next thing, and probably the most obvious thing with this cube, is price. If you ask me, this isn’t a good value for actual money. If you are considering getting this with SCS reward points, it’s definitely worth it. But for $25, I think it would be better to buy your own standard version of this cube (MoYu Rs3m 2020 stickerless) and purchase the supplies so you can create your own Jperm version. That will be cheaper than buying the already setup version and it will give you extra lube, so you can keep the setup coming.

And, if you are an Rs3m fan or even like more expensive cubes and need to use your reward points, go for this one.

So, all in all, I’d recommend this to anyone who is getting it with reward points. Otherwise, go for the standard stickerless Rs3m 2020 at $9 and add in some lunar and weight 1, as you will need to re-lube at some point, and then you have extra of the same lube on hand and you can set it up the same way Jperm has it. SpeedCubeShop tells you how they set it up in the product description on the product page itself.

Good cube overall, the magnets aren't too strong and the corner cutting is pretty good. Great as a first cube.

This cube really is amazing! When I first turned it I really just loved how it sounded with the clicks and I would literally buy this again if I wanted to!!

The Jperm RS3M 2020 is a very good queue for those who like control for me personally I prefer a fast cube but I still give it five stars because I know there are people out there that prefer control over speed

Quite cheap and a good cube to start with, as well you support JPerm with the purchase, however the sticker fades too easily.

Great cube for the price

The RS3M is already a great budget cube. But jperm modified this to make it the perfect gift for these jperm fans! If you like jperm get this its worth it

Bought this maybe 3 years back, it was my first speed cube and it was night and day compared to the typical rubiks cube I grew up with, amazing product I just wish I knew more about maintenance cause it's a little beat up afted 3 years 😅

This cube is a very good cube especially for its price. It is budget friendly, and you still get an amazing cube out of it. It also is a good cube if you are looking into cubing.
