Out of the box, compared to my MGC, this cube was faster, snappier, and more flexible. With setup it outpaced the MGC by leaps and bounds.

The triple-track creates an addicting turning feel for the inners, especially after cushioning with a bit of fast silicone like Lunar or Martian.

I do get the occasional lockup, but unlike most 5x5 lockups, these are trivial to fix.

I took my average from 1:35 to sub-1:20 in the two weeks after getting this puzzle. And I can't stop solving on it.

Amazing

The cube is amazing, it turns smoothly, it has good corner cutting, and I really dont have a problem with the corner cutting. I did have one big lockup, but that was because I was not turning accurately. I think Moyu really knows how to make a really good 5x5

Overall, the cube is decent, but I prefer the out-of-the-box turning of the QiYi X-Man Spark 5x5 M. This cube tends to lockup occasionally, which might require some adjustment, but I’m from the generation that didn’t grow up with screws for tuning, so I haven’t tried it yet. That said, I’m sure it can be an excellent cube in the right hands!
