A budget-friendly magnetic 2x2 offering "great value for the price" with smooth turning and decent corner-cutting. Customers praised magnets that "work great" and the cube being "perfect for beginners." However, some noted weak magnets, occasional popping, and durability issues. Pretty good looking cube best recommendation ever cannot wait to get this pretty cube, but it’s not really good for speeding, but it’s OK
the magnets are quite nice for the price. it turns great as well.
Great 2 by 2 for starters as it is easy to turn however it wears out after a while, which makes sense, however it is super good for its price
This is a good Cube even without magnets which was supposed to come with magnets but mine didn't. ? magnets it's so good but when I took it apart to clean it and put it back together it came a little more stiff but I just adjusted the screws and it helped that's about all that's good.
The MoYu MeiLong 2x2 (Magnetic) is one of the best budget 2x2 cubes for beginners and casual speedcubers. It combines a low price with factory-installed magnets, giving the puzzle a more stable and controllable feel than many non-magnetic entry-level cubes.
Out of the box, the cube has a smooth and slightly clacky turning feel. The magnets are on the lighter side, which helps with speed while still providing useful alignment between turns. Many users appreciate how easy it is to control without feeling overly strong or sluggish.
Corner-cutting is respectable for its price range, though not class-leading. It performs well enough for practice, learning finger tricks, and improving times, but advanced solvers may eventually want something faster or more premium. Some users mention that setup with lubricant and tension adjustments noticeably improves performance.
The biggest strength of this cube is value for money. It offers magnetic performance at an entry-level price, making it a smart choice for new cubers or anyone wanting a cheap backup 2x2. While top competitors may prefer cubes like the RS2M or flagship options, the MeiLong 2x2 Magnetic remains an excellent affordable option.
Overall, the MoYu MeiLong 2x2 (Magnetic) is a reliable, smooth, and inexpensive puzzle that punches above its price point. Great for beginners, solid for intermediates, and hard to beat on a budget.
really nice cube
Haven’t tried it yet, but moyu is the definitely the best budget cube brand. I’m expecting a lot of this cube.
I got this to upgrade from my Rubik's branded 2 x 2. This is so much nicer for not that more. Turns very smoothly. Smaller than a standard 3 x3 but still really nice to hold. Very satisfying to handle and solve.
I had an excellent experience ordering my MoYu 4x4 from SpeedCubeShop. The ordering process was smooth and straightforward, with detailed product information that made it easy to choose the right cube. I also appreciate the setup options and clear descriptions, which show how much SpeedCubeShop understands cubers’ needs.
My order shipped very quickly and arrived sooner than expected. The cube was packaged securely and arrived in perfect condition. Right out of the box, the MoYu 4x4 felt amazing—smooth, fast, and very controllable. It was clear that care was taken in the setup, as the cube didn’t require any immediate adjustments to perform well.
Performance-wise, this MoYu 4x4 really stands out. The turning is extremely smooth with excellent corner cutting and minimal catching, even during fast solves. The layers stay well-aligned, and the cube feels stable without being too tight. It handles both fast turning and precise finger tricks very well, which is especially important on a 4x4.
Overall, I’m very impressed with both the MoYu 4x4 and SpeedCubeShop’s service. Between the fast shipping, great packaging, and high-quality setup, this was a fantastic purchase. SpeedCubeShop continues to be my go-to cubing store, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable cubes and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again.
turns great for the budget. Magnets work great and lube works well with it
Excellent cube for the beginners and the price
Not the best
I bought this cube just recently and it popped like a week later after doing some solves. I think I might have been turning it a little too hard though. Wouldn’t’ recommend turning this cube with lots of force.
Nice cube, got by pb
It's a good cube but the mgc is only $4 more so just buy that.
The magnets aren't strong enough, and takes a really long time to break in, and will still be kind of slow
good
Cube was good out of the box (you probably shouldn't mess with the settings like I did) and with some lube it's much better! The corner cutting's pretty good for a budget cube though expect it to pop occasionally 🙂
This magnetic cube design was perfect for times competitions. Smooth turns and holds on position
good
Great durable cube turns well
Good for it's price
This replaced my Qiyi Qidi 2x2 and I liked it for about a week. After that week it turned into the slowest cube ever. So bad. I then went back to my old qiyi 2x2 and even tho it barely cornercutted I sill liked it more. With a competition fast approaching I borrowed my friends Gan. If he wasn’t a cuter I would be cooked. Even after lubing it with the light speed bundle, it still sucked. I got the non-magnetic version and it was very fast. Would give 0 stars if I could. 😞😞☹️☹️😟😟🙁🙁😩😩😫😫😡😡🤬🤬
I really like the magnetism in this.
This is a really great starting point for any beginner, however i would recommend the YJ YuPo over this one
Cube turns very smoothly and was easy to solve and have fun with. Would recommend and a good fidget for everyone.
For a budget cube, it’s pretty good. Feels a little dry and a few lock ups, but with a little breaking in, it’s a solid cube!
really good turning and just a good cube overall. shipping was on time and the price was supa amazing
A truly wonderful company.
This is my new main 2x2, it's really good! The MoYu budget cubes never fail to impress me. (I've only had 4 but still)
