I'm using the cube with Cubeast on my laptop and phone and am extremely happy with that setup. The cube has great action out of the box and works perfectly with that web app. If you're happy with that (as I now am), I can definitely recommend this cube.
I can't, however, give it five stars, because the Moyu app itself is almost unusable. It's horribly clunky in its design and requires a time-consuming login process with every use.
There were a couple of other little problems I had when I was getting started. First, I had to experiment with a few different USB-C cables and wall plugs to get it to charge. There is indeed a very bright light on the charger that will let you know when it's charging. Once that's sorted out, it charges quickly and the battery life is good.
Also, pairing with Cubeast was a bit of a chore, because you have to figure out the cube's MAC address. This turned out to be easy, but not even a little bit intuitive; fortunately you can google the appropriate instructions for your laptop.
This sounds like a lot of caveats, but note that I still gave this four stars, so that should tell you how happy I am with the cube itself once I got it up and running.
