Customers praised this fast, responsive cube with "insanely fast" turning and strong magnetic auto-alignment. Many noted it "needs setup out of the box" as it's very dry initially. With proper lubrication, shoppers found it "smooth and controllable." Some concerns about corner twists and excessive speed, though most said it becomes their main cube after adjustment.
- Exceeded all expectations... ended up replacing my Gan 13 as my main. Highly recommend.
- Turns insanely fast, yet is still controllable. This is my dream setup. 15/10 would recommend.
- The v9 feels like every turn is spring assisted... just snaps into place. New main!

Fast yet controllable, but not maglev. Either I was just confused or got mailed the wrong cube.
Out of the box the cube is really fast and feels very dry and a little uncontrollable but when i put in 6 drops of lunar and 2 drops of martian in the cube it felt really nice it was definitely alot more controllable
he WR M V9 is a fast, responsive cube designed for high-TPS solvers. Its turning is snappy and energetic, giving it a lively feel that encourages speed. The magnets provide a strong, confident click that keeps everything aligned.
Stability is impressive, and the cube handles aggressive turning with ease. It’s a bold, powerful cube that rewards fast solvers.
Good cube, very fast, a bit expensive at this point;
I bought this cube because it was on sale and it looked pretty nice, but when I received it I was amazed at how it performed. It ended up replacing my Gan 13 as my main. Highly recommend and a great cube.
Great cube, awesome feel to it after a little bit of Martian lubricant, super quiet and came with a case would get again.
Little sandy feeling at first very dry. But after some lube it is turning smooth and little less dry. Very fast. Hard to control sometimes but you get used to it.
So smooth sounds great
Everything wanted me to like this cube, moyu's biggest flagship of the year, amazing cornercutting. But it failed, I wanted to like it, especially at the price point, but it sucks. It has this gummy clicking when you turn 45 degrees. And it turns horribly. Do buy, I think mine is defective, the corners are broken and some magnets are missing, but still be warned.
Love the cube so much!
I absolutely love this cube. It's currently my main and has been for several months now. It turns insanely fast, yet is still controllable. It is also very smooth, which I like. I have put the spiral thingy in the center to the lowest setting and loosened the screws a bit, which makes it even faster than before. I also put jack o' lantern and stardust in it, making it even more satisfying. I simply cannot ask for more. This is my dream setup. 15/10 would highly recommend.
great speed cube
When I got this cube, it was good, but too fast and did random u2 flicks. I set it up with Weight 4, Galaxy, and Martian so it slows down a bit, retains the auto alignment, and stops the annoying u2 flicks during algs. It also created a really crunchy nice feel in the M layer, so algs like H perm and Z perm feel very good on it. I left the tension setting on 1 and this is a great cube, magnet strength is perfect. Overall, I highly recommend this cube, I am not experienced in setting up cubes but i was able to set it up the way i liked. Great cube!
Amazing cube! Did need setup out of the box, as it was super dry. After setup, really good! It is very fast, smooth, and has a good magnet strength! Great corner cutting and pops weren’t an issue. However, if corner twists can happen, but not that often. The uv coating feels really nice and I highly recommend it!
The magnets on the magic cloak version feel nice and strong but not too strong. The quality of the cube is great. Overall very solid cube.
I got the Ball Core. The cube out of the box is way too fast, I got the tension set at seven definitely better but still fast. Lube definitely slows it down a bit and more controllable. It has a clanky and sandy feel and sound to it, it takes a little getting used to. When I'm doing the invert of the **** move and it depends where on the cube it at it almost sounds like it's slightly catching on something but that only happens when it's dry. So far no corner twist. Overall I like it.
maglev plus ball core! straight out of the box this cube has unreal auto alignment and turnability. moyu just keeps making better and better cubes
I am new to speed cubing, so I've purchased a few different models here to work on learning F2L. This v9 cube is a really fun cube to use for learning! The repelling magnets make it easy to turn because it snaps back into place. Even with the strong pull, it doesn't 'stick' like some of the other cubes do. I'm not much on finger tricks yet, but this one is easy to use for this.
It is a little bit louder than my Tornado, but not much different from the GAN 13. That isn't an issue for me - just a statement. The glossy finish is nice too, and gives the v9 a premium look and feel.
This cube is very smooth and effortless. The ball core makes very responsive auto aligning turns. Highly recommend.
Very smooth and effortless to turn. Ball core makes the aligning of the layers very responsive. Highly recommend.
I thought the YS3M Ball-UV was the pinnacle of 3x3 cubes, but this cube is a cut above. Its feel is entirely different. The v9 feels like every turn is spring assisted because of the repelling edge-core magnets. It rewards a light and quick turning style and just snaps into place. The only drawback I've noticed is it sounds louder and more piercing than the YS3M. A negligible issue 99% of the time. And less than half the price of GAN's flagship. New main!
I got the ball core version and it is a very good cube. I dont get good times on it though. I average 17 seconds but I couldnt get below 19. The magnets are very strong and that isnt for me. If you like strong magnets and a fast cube, this is the cube to get.
I got the ball core version of this cube and it was amazing to turn
This is, by large, an excellent cube. It has amazing corner cutting. It's very fast but controllable. In most respects, it compares very well against the much more expensive Gan 13. It's not as customizable as the Gan 13, but it performs similarly and is far cheaper.
However, the rounded corner design makes corner twists extremely easy. When I attempt to twist a corner manually, there's almost no resistance at all. Corner twists don't seem to happen all that often in solves for me, but it still makes me uncomfortable that it's this easy.
Still, the fact that it compares favorably in most respects versus a far more expensive cube is impressive. This remains a very good cube.
I got this cube (ball core version) two weeks ago and i already wrote a review on it (that for some reason i can't find). In that review i was a little harsh on the cube because i didn't set it up yet. Now, after setup and a few weeks spent with the cube and my first 2 sub-10 solves, both on this puzzle, i can confidently say it is the best cube i have ever tried, magnet strengh is good, is smooth, fast but thanks to the corner edge magnet it is very stable. The performance is amazing and even if the corners are rounded, i have corner twisted only once, and while turning i don't feel like i risk to corner twist at all. The shades are very bright thanks to the UV coating that also help grip on the cube. the only little flow that i noticed was that it sucks up lube pretty quickly, or maybe it is just my immagination.
Overall this cube is great and i reccomend it over any other speedcube , if you can set up cubes quite well.
I already wrote a nice review and I don't know if this will over-write that one. I hope not. But man this cube has grown on me even further! It's amazing. Every solve I do now gets me a new best Ao100, and I have set my best Ao5 and Ao12 as well with this cube, and that's after not practicing much at all lately. I thought at first it was too loose and out of control, but it's fine. I got used to it just as it comes out of the box and I am very happy with what I've accomplished with it. It's too fun solving on it, and I can't stop! I own many other top tier and mid tier cubes of different brands, but this is my go to cube now. If it's too loose and fast for you, you can tighten it up and slow it down with lube and settings. Mine will stay as is, though. It's perfect.
I did not like MoYu cubes early on. I have completely changed my mind on them. I liked the Super and love the YS3, but this one is next level great. It's FAST. Might need a little tightening up, but I'm getting some of my best times ever on it, consistently. It's smooth yet wild, but not completely out of control. My son, who is the actual speed cuber, made this his main immediately after getting it.
MoYu WR M V9
I just got the ballcore version of the V9 and it is very good, although with some major problems. Out of the box, it is way too fast and uncontrollable. With some good setup, though, it is incredible. It is still a little bit too fast and I wish that there were stronger/adjustable magnets. The corners on the ballcore get twisted a ton and are probably its worst problem. I got an 8 second DNF corner twist solve on it which would have been my PB so I was really bummed. I think that if MoYu made an updated version of it with the corner twist problem fixed, slightly slower turning speed, and adjustable magnets with at least one setting stronger than the factory magnets, it would be one of the best cubes on the market and would be a viable main for top speedcubers.
