QiYi Warrior 5x5 (Magnetic, UV Coated)

I've been wanting to try a 5x5 for a while, glad I got a really good 5x5 for beginners :)

I would 100% recommend this cube for beginners. its not made to break world records but if your a casual cuber then this will work wonders.

This cube is great for the price. I learned on a not so great 5x5 and this has made me 10 times better. but if you looking for a cube to go to a competitive setting, I would look for a little bit more expensive one.

I got this cube this week and it was extremely smooth and made me want to pratice 5x5 more.

It's a good cube for beginners but not really good for those who are trying to speed cube. The cube has 240 magnets which is triple track and the description is clearly flexing the cube with the magnet count. But to be honest because the cube is made as a budget cube and at the same time have that many magnets the quality of the cube is more lower than it should be. What I mean by this is that even if there are a lot of magnets you can't really feel them and the plastic feels like cheap plastic. It feels like they used up all the money of the cube just to add a lot of magnets and couldn't spend much on other stuffs like plastic quality and the actual turning of the cube. Speaking of turning the turning is not bad but extremely dry and I personally just don't like the feel. And even if the turning itself might not be as bad but the dryness makes it feel like it turns worse. The biggest problem about this cube is probably the lock ups. It locks up so frequently that It almost takes twice as much time to do 3x3 stage. But the inner pieces are not too bad. And I think the major reason for this is because of the cheap plastic again. It's also UV coated and I personally prefer matte and it just made it worse for me. This probably doesn't matter if you like UV. Overall I feel like Qiyi could have done so much better. Since it's a budget cube and is ment for beginners and not so much for pros it would have been much better if they just made it double or even single track and improved the actual material of the cube instead. A bit disappointed. But still great for beginners so still giving it 3 stars.
And one important note to those who are buying any type of cube. If your buying a cube for the first time or only have cheap budget cubes(those who haven't used a high quality cube to be exact) it's okay to buy budget cubes again for your next cube because you won't know the feeling of high quality cubes and your turning style would be used to the budget ones. But for those who HAVE used high quality cubes before(like cubes over 40$ like gan cubes) and used them as mains before or still using them, I DON'T recommend trying out a budget cube and waste your money. I'm telling this because I just had this experience and don't want anyone else experiencing this again. I main the gan v100 3x3 and average about 18 seconds. I wanted to try 5x5 for the first time and thought since I'm a beginner at 5x5 and wanted to save a bit of money and bought the qiyi warrior 5x5. Since the gan v100 turning is extremely high quality compared to the qiyi warrior I had so much trouble with the cube and now I'm not doing 5x5 anymore. Because of this incident I don't like 5x5 anymore even if the 5x5 event did nothing wrong and it was just because of the cube. So when I wanted to try 4x4 instead I bought a high quality one. So the conclusion is to those who already know the feeling of high quality cubes, when you want to buy a new cube just save a bit more money to buy a good one👍
