ShengShou YuFeng Megaminx (Magnetic, Ball-Core)

There are some really good things about it, but most things are just not great. For instance, the glue used to hold the corner-to-core magnets in is really weak. I had issues with the magnets falling out in the corners and core. (See pictures below) And sometimes I would be in the middle of a solve and the megaminx would lock up really badly and be almost impossible to fix. I ended up supergluing the magnets in and that (mostly?) fixed the problem. But overall not as good quality control as GAN or Moyu.😐 Unfortunately, I can not recommend this megaminx. Otherwise, great colors, dimples are nice, strong magnets, and it feels great and very satisfying to turn.

Every feature in this megaminx was either very good or very bad. No in between. Heres a quick breakdown:
Good:
* Very good colors
* Very gripy glossy plastic (feels like UV)
* Looks amazing
* No logo (blind legal)
* Very stable
* Noticable Core magnets
* Auto-alignment works (~line-to-line)
* Large, easy to find edges
* colors are easy to differentiate

Bad:
* Catches often
* Non-existent reverse corner-cutting
* needs break-in
* No black pieces
* corners fall apart very easily
* spring tensions were not even out of the box

Overall, I do not recommend. if you want a budget megaminx, buy the YJ YuHu V2 instead. If you want a ball-core, buy the DaYan Pro. This megaminx. This megaminx is better than the YJ MGC, but not as good as the YJ YuHu V2. That being said, I got a new PB single and average on my first solves on this, but it didn't feel good or fun to use. It was just very easy to find and identify pieces. While solving you will need to keep checking the corners to make sure none will fall apart. if you use this seriously, you will want to glue the corners together. Overall this megaminx's main pros are the noticable coore magnets, good colors, and good look.. I cannot stress how good this megaminx looks and how nice the plastic is. (feels UV coated). The turning feel is the opposite of smooth.

My old megaminx was about 10 years old, so this is a huge upgrade: it moves a lot faster and smoother. BUT, it randomly will get really locky, like it's getting stuck on something internally and I can't tell what's causing it; this doesn't happen infrequently either. When it works it's solid but honestly feel like I should've gone for a different cube.

For that price this is the best option i like it

Hands down best megaminx for the price

This cube has great magnets and a glossy plastic that is so shiny and really strong my dad dropped it, but no pieces were chipped surprisingly. Great mechanism I love the orange ball core, and purple interior. Turns really good but only if you set it up at 1 for the spring tension then it will turn super-fast, I love this thing you should definitely buy this.

see I like it but I feel they could have done better. But I give it 4 stars cuz I cant ignore the results. I was avreging 2:30 butt now I get 1:30 so I'm happy. I can recommend this. :)

My cousin has a four-year-old megaminx, and the first time he turned this one he was surprised. The magnets are really nice: they have really good strength, not too strong, not too weak, and the inside of the puzzle is purple!

This cube is the best megaminx ever!
The magnets are very strong
It turns very smoothly
The magnets are so good that it basically auto-turns
It is very glossy and feels like it’s uv coated

Out of the box, it is sandy. But if you do a few solves, add some lube, set it up, it’s the perfect megaminx

Absolutely fantastic for the price especially with magnets.
