X-Man Tornado 3x3 V5 Pioneer (Magnetic, MagLev, 20-Magnet Ball-Core, UV Coated)

This cube does exactly what it is supposed to. That is to lock in place, to be nice and quick, and have excellent customization like I fell in love with how you can customize everything and the tension and elasticity customization system is actually so easy and beautiful I so definitely recommend this cube but you will want to put lube in it but even without its not that bad.

I recommend if you are getting this cube get weight 5 and lunar min and it’s amazing first sub 30

This is my favorite 3x3 I've ever used! The turning feels smooth with a slight paperiness and it sounds very crisp. The best way I can put it is that it feels like a combo of the tornado v3 and the gan 16. It is a very fast cube, and, when set up right, it can have insane auto-alignment, and you can easily make it more controllable with the right lubes. Speaking of lubes, it responded very good to every lube I put in it, and it has incredible customization options in terms of tensioning and magnet strength. I would recommend this cube to anyone who is thinking of getting it.

Feels like a V3, and isn't worth the price. There's really nothing that makes this cube stand out.

This cube is dope. Really good auto-alignment, flexibility, and ridiculous speed, but still manages to feel tactile and stable. Settings are not as big of a pain as some reviews online seem to indicate, it's perfectly doable by hand as long as you aren't trying to rip the thing apart. Feels super high quality, the plastic is clacky and light, but feels super solid. Colors are perfect, accessories are neat (I like the case a lot in particular), and adjustability feels meaningful. Highly recommend!

Very FAST, faster than most 3x3's and could even be faster than my gan 16.

The amount of customisation can honestly let every person tweak the cube to have the perfect flexibility, speed, control, and magnet strength that suits them. The corner cutting when doing M and U moves is especially so smooth, with nearly no resistance and is so satisfying to turn. It is quite fast out of the box, as i’m able to do a U2 with minimal effort easily. The UV coating is a great touch alongside the leather bag, just adding towards the feeling of a premium cube.

Great! Soft, silky quite a bit of a moyu feel. Defenity recommend if it suits ur budget.

It was stunning! It arrived two days prior and my first impressions were “wow this looks a lot cooler than gan! “Then when I turned it, the feel just left me speechless. It was soft, silky extremmmmmly quiet and maybe a bit of a moyu feel. Idk maybe it’s just me? This has also helped me beat my pb so now it’s 16.438. Definite recommend if it suits ur budget

I really love this puzzle and it's going to be my new main over the v100, its very fast and light but still feels very soft and controllable and my turning style fits it better than the snappieness of the v100,. It starts very dry out of the box but that feeling goes away even with the factory lube, I used nebula and lunar with the strongest setting for corners and the tension on 1 and compression 3, the only thing i have found not to like about this cube is the corner adjustment system adds spring noise which after a few solves started to squeak somewhat infequently but it took a while for me to track down the source of the sound. I tried weight 5 on the springs and posts and it helped only a little, but the sound eventually wore out itself with a couple hundred solves, it came from flexing the corners out and it was particularly bad in 2 of the corners. Still my favorite turning and performing cube and now the sound is great

The best cube I have ever felt with adjustable magnet settings puts this cube on a whole different level it’s great for speed and control the corner cutting is amazing this cube without a doubt will be my new main.

This Pioneer Cube seems to work well, and has a ton of customization compared to previous ones.

That being said, it seems like it was built with a lower attention to detail. The seems between colors don’t feel as smooth, and you have to be careful turning the axis and maglev gauges. It has a different mechanism for turning, and if you push down while turning, you run the risk of popping the block off the post. This was a surprise, but I was able to put it back together.

I see potential for a better v6 or v5 revision.

I don’t regret the purchase, but, while the v4 felt like an improvement to the existing v3, the v5 feels like a “first attempt” at some really cool new R&D.

The Tornado V5 Pioneer offers a perfect blend of speed and control. The ball‑core and MagLev make turning effortless, and the UV coating adds a premium grip. A phenomenal flagship.

Best cube faster than my gan 15 and in my opinion I think when adjusted right it's faster than the gan 16/17 max

I think this is the best cube and the first day I beat my pb solve by 2 seconds and my pb is now 6.54 and smooth out of the box and when adjusted to my feel it is like 20 time faster than my gan 15 and in my opinion it's the best cube of all time probably better than the gan 16/17 max if you get the v5 pioneer

This is 100% the best Tornado. Its corner cutting is amazing, its light (70 grams) and feals like a GAN, but with more adjustments. Its the ONLY cube that has adjustable CORE and EDGE magnets in the same cube!
