Customers praised this magnetic puzzle as "the best 6x6" with excellent value and smooth turning. Many noted strong magnets and good corner-cutting. However, some experienced popping when too loose, with a few reporting broken center pieces. Setup and break-in recommended for optimal performance.

  • For such a big cube, it turns awesome and never fails me, and it's a pretty good price too.
  • One of the best 6x6s on the market, its also pretty cheap. Turns surprisingly well.
  • It's fast for a cube of its size. Corner cutting is great and gets locked up almost never.

Bad Centers

The centers popped out of the cube three times, with the third time resulting in one breaking cleanly in half. Even after applying superglue, the center still fell apart after the adhesive had cured. The cube is almost impossible to turn without risk of more pieces falling out. Otherwise, the cube was a nice experience.

Good But Extremely Annoying To Assemble

I know putting together a 6x6 isnt all that easy but seriously, the cube becomes so loose when you disassemble it that that the internal pieces just love to fall out. The cube out of the box comes pretty loose, but for some reason mine has screws that refused to turn. I had to get out an eletric screwdriver to get those things to move at all, because the screwdriver it came with didnt help loosen it all that effectively. Also, the cube pops REALLY easily out of the box. Likely because it comes loose, but at the end of the day, you come to notice that its a 6x6, so pops are to be expected anyway. But regardless, go with the meilong 6m v2. Yes, its cheap, and thats why i thought i had to get the MGC because it was problably better. All i can say is that i still solve more on the meilong v2 m, because it rarely pops. Although the tensions on the meilong v2 are tight, the cube just feels more stable and doesnt feel like its going to explode in my hands. The meilong v2 m isnt the best 6x6 out there, but it feels like you're getting more for what you pay for. It comes with a screwdriver, pamplet, and its smaller, too. Actually pretty small for a 6x6. So, if your looking for a budget 6x6, go with the meilong v2 m because trust me, you wont regret it. Its not the best, but its not bad by any means, either. You can go ahead and buy this cube, but honestly, if you're going to disassemble it, just know, its not all that easy. To crush it down into one sentence, get the meilong v2 m if you want a bit better of an experience.

Good for practicing

I was looking for something inexpensive to learn the 6x6 and this cube has done that. I really like GAN's cubes, but since they don't make a 6x6 I'll check into maybe a MoYu cube to get an "upgrade" for my 6x6.

The good: The size and magnets are good so there is I don't feel like I'm wrestling a bulky cube and get positive stops when trying to move fast.

The "deltas": This cube feel like it's going to pop. I have to slow myself down a bit to make sure I don't risk blowing it up. It's kind of heavy as well so it does feel clumsy. Again, this cube was to understand how to solve the 6x6 and practice the different parities. One other "odd" thing: The colors. It's odd, but next to all my other cubes, the colors seem kind of muted

This cube is awesome

This cube is great. For such a big cube, it turns awesome and never fails me (almost), and it’s a pretty good price too. YJ MGC is goated for big cubes. Best big cube brand for sure.

Smooth and satisfying

This is my first experience with magnetic, more premium cubes. I'm a beginner, not really interested in speed-solving. That being said, I'm really impressed with the quality of this wallet friendly cube. It turns very smoothly and is such a pleasure to solve, at least in my casual mode. I did experience some pops when I didn't have the tiles completely lined up. It was easy to repair.

One of the best 6x6s on the market

One of the best 6x6s on the market, its also pretty cheap. I mainly got a 6x6 to complete 1x1-7x7 but it turns suprisingly well. Love it a ton!

I've never speedsolved this, but I think it's really good for the price.

Great cube!

It's a really good cube, but the 3w layers are slower and more locky than the others. Could be a bit better but great for the price! I have crushed all of my PB's with this cube.

Locks up but definitely user error

When solving semi-quickly it locks up but that is definitely an issue with me. Other than that really great for a beginner 6x6

Budget friendly

The MGC is my first 6x6 and I've owned it for about 3 years now. Based on personal experience, I would recommend this to speedcubers who have just gotten into big cubes. The MGC is really cheap but I can still average pretty decently for my skill level. Definitely a nice cube for big cube beginners.

If you are more advanced for 6x6, the MoYu AoShi WRM is probably a better choice as I think, in my opinion, that it is more stable and turns faster. Just keep in mind that the MGC is considered a regular size for a 6x6 (65mm) and the AoShi is around 63mm which is significantly smaller. You would likely have a better grip on the AoShi if you have small hands.

Overall though, the MGC is really good for its price as you can still get good solves with it. I really like how blocky it feels which is satisfying.

Popped

It popped and I didn't know how to get it back together. While I had it, it was still a great cube. Would recommend.

Nice!

This is my first 6x6x6 and it’s really nice. I did my first solve on it and it turns really easily and even corner cuts pretty well, though I’m not good enough for it to make a huge difference. 😂

Good budget 6x6

I hated 6x6 trying to use the Meilong, but as soon as I switched to this, I was actually able to enjoy it. Didn't feel the best out of the box, but after putting lunar and Martian in it it felt so much better. I have not tried the stronger or weaker springs yet, but I might try those out soon.

Feels nice and turns fast.

Out of the box the cube definitely needs tuning to your preferred settings. It popped too much until I tightened it. With some personal lubricant and time to get used to it, this cube becomes an incredible big cube. This is why this cube is gained by many new and professional speedcubers.

My first 6x6 because I don't have any other 6x6 I can't really compare however I do have multiple 5x5 and I can tell the quality with mgc is better then most especially when it comes to 3x3 stage.

best value 6x6

I have thoroughly enjoyed my 6x6 so far. It turns very nice especially with some lunar lube. I would suggest the entire MGC line-up 4x4-7x7 for anyone looking for reasonably priced big cubes.

Great cube

Good and solid cube. Great for beginners. Occasionally corners will catch but overall pleased with the cube.
