It is really smooth. However it is dry. I recommend adding a fast lube to it as it is not exactly the fastest. Good tho 😁

We seriously might have a new king in town. This puzzle is absolutely wonderful. The ball core makes turning an absolute dream, and the corner cutting is honestly insane.

Opening the box, I didn’t find anything inside except the megaminx and a paper for instructions on how to adjust the megaminx. The megaminx is really good to turn, but I recommend getting lube in the megaminx so it has more smooth turns and I also recommend it for competitions too.

The YJ YuHu Megaminx V3 (Magnetic, MagLev, Ball-Core) is one of the strongest value-focused Megaminx releases in the current market. It takes the respected YuHu line and upgrades it with modern flagship features such as MagLev tensioning and ball-core magnetic stabilization, creating a puzzle that feels faster, lighter, and more premium than older budget Megaminxes.

Out of the box, the cube feels quick and airy, with low turning resistance thanks to the MagLev system replacing traditional springs. This gives turns a smoother, cleaner motion while helping reduce spring noise. Despite the speed, the ball-core magnets add a noticeable sense of stability, helping layers align accurately during faster solves. Many early users describe it as fast but controlled rather than wild or overly loose.

A major advantage of the V3 is its compact size and lighter weight. Compared with many larger Megaminxes, it feels easier to grip and less tiring during long solves. Cubers with smaller hands may especially appreciate the reduced size, while experienced solvers may enjoy the quicker turning style it enables.

Performance is very strong for the price. Corner-cutting is solid, turning is crisp, and lockups are limited once tensions are adjusted to preference. Some reviewers note it can arrive slightly tight and benefits from loosening or lubrication, but once tuned it competes surprisingly well with much more expensive options.

The main downside is that premium Megaminxes like GAN or DaYan may still feel more refined in plastic quality or raw smoothness. Some users also prefer stronger magnets than the stock setup. However, considering the cost difference, the YuHu V3 remains extremely competitive.

This puzzle is fast out of the box, and has quite good corner-cutting as well (although the strong core magnets make it so that you don't have to use this as much). The core magnets also make this puzzle feel incredibly stable, and make it much harder to accidentally turn side I want to keep in place, one slight issue I had with the standard version.

Overall, very nice for me, although there are a couple things to keep in mind if you want this yourself: 1) this puzzle is quite small, 2) this version of the puzzle comes bone-dry out of the box, and 3) the magnets are very noticeable.

Notwithstanding this, however, I still really love this puzzle, and it makes megaminx a very enjoyable event.
