YuXin Treasure Box

I got this because I have been eyeing it for awhile, and it's way bigger in person than I thought. Like it's bigger than my 5x5, but one complaint I have is that it's kinda prone to exploding on the white side if you turn it wrong on accident. Other than that. It's a good addition to my collection.

This cube turns ok and is fun but it shouldn't be used for speed cubing. It's a cool gimmick which lets you store thing once you solve it. Personally, it's a fun cube and that's why I give it 5 stars.

I really like the mechanism of this. I have an older treasure box cube with a different mechanism but anyone picking that cube up would be able to tell that something was up with it. This one blends in very well except for being a bit larger than your standard 3x3. Only catch was that it took me a while to figure out that you have to pull the whole layer to get the depressed center to pop up. I don’t think anyone would accidentally figure out how to open this

Very nice product, turns very well compared to other hidden compartment cubes, and with all the functionality of a regular cube. Planning to use it for an upcoming dnd game should be fun for the players!

Was really excited to purchase this item, but was really disappointed in how difficult it was to open which ultimately led to the lid breaking after just a few uses. Poor quality & construction. Thankfully, SCS made things right!

The corner cutting on this Cube is very good but the turning is not the fastest. You can hide stuff in the cube. It is fun to have because if a criminal breaks into your house and you need keys to open your door from the inside, you can put your house keys in the YuXin treasure box then scramble it up and give it to the criminal. Unless they are a cuber, they can't get out. Then call the cops and they will get arrested.

No, you're not going to set any records on this cube. There's enough size difference between this and a normal speed cube that you'll notice, but not so much to cause problems. For a non-magnetic cube, the turning is pretty good, especially considering the fact there's a cavity in the center. Unlocking is super easy, since you only need to solve the white face. Closing is a little more difficult, but a twist of one of the side faces usually does the trick.
Over all very happy with the puzzle.

The cube itself wouldn't be worth 14 bucks. You're paying a premium for the gimmick of it opening. That said, it is a surprisingly decent cube still.

The lock mechanism was pretty troubling to figure out. Opening it was easy - just press down on the white center cap and twist open. But closing is where I see a lot of the issues

just pull up the layer and it'll lock. I'm sure this is all explained in the instructions that are in chinese characters.

Its a good cube but its pretty hard to use Ipersonally recomend it

Compartment is so small, but the problem with mine is once you oress the white button to open the container, the white button doesnt go back up for me

This is a good novelty item only complaint that I have with it is you only need to solve the white side and it opens.

The cube is great and has a very cool way of working and it can also slightly corner cut. It is a little big but it’s a fun way to store money or other small things

I have opened and closed this many times. Seems well made and has been put to the test.

The cube worked and was easy to turn but really felt like you had to break the cube to open it and i had to watch many tutorials to open it and broke the cube many times in the process. fun cube but not really worth your money unless you like this sorta thing.

Love the treasure box, but the cube is a bit clunky to solve.

The other reviewers are right. It doesn't turn well. It pops apart easily. This is a fun novelty item, not a functioning cube.

That said, I still give it 5 stars because that's what I expected from its description and price point. It works to hold something small inside, it doesn't look like an obvious spot something would be hidden, especially in a room/house with other cubes, and it's a fun concept!
