The emerald one looms amazing and rlly fun to solve i like this one
Very nice cube. It has a premium feel and smooth movement that is improved with lubricant. Corner cutting is pretty good, and the magnets are helpful. However, it can still lock up if you aren’t careful (not surprising considering that this is a mirror cube).
My only complaint is that the green metallic finish has some flaws, but they don’t affect anything.
I don't have a lot of experience with DianSheng puzzles and bought this simple because it looked like a cool novelty. I was surprised to find the quality is very good and the puzzle is fun. Solving the centers correctly was a bit more challenging than a normal 4x4 and edge pairing takes a lot of trial and error since many of the pieces are similar in size.
I also bought their mirror 5x5 and like it even more than the 4x4.
I'll say, this one's not nearly as smooth as one of them ball core moyu 3x3 mirror cubes, but it weirdly enough M-slices way smoother than any of my 4x4 cubes, period once I adjusted and lubricated it. The face layers have a tendency to catch sometimes. At the end of the day. Its a 4x4 which is already hard to perfect. However, the chrome teal finish looks superb! I just wish some of the alignment magnets were stronger. It doesn't really "need" to be a speed cube, though. It is, however, very satisfying. I'd still recommend it, as it seems to be the only 4x4 mirror cube that has thoughtful design and engineering.
I bought the silver version for $42. The metallized silver is very cool looking, however, it was tight, catchy, and very scratchy/crunchy out of the box, especially the inner layers. After loosening it by four quarter-turns and applying lube, it feels much better. I recommend a thicker lube for the inner layers. I'd say it has good forward corner cutting, especially for a mirror blocks cube, but only a little reverse corner cutting. The magnets make it nice and stable, and the magnetic pull is stronger for the inner layers (making the 3x3 stage easier). I think this is a great magnetic 4x4 mirror cube!
