Smooth, Satisfying, bought countless 3x3s and this is the best BY FAR. Totally recommend with nebula, moyu 1, or weight 5-6 for more controlled cubers, or with lunar, stardust, or dnm-37, for speedy cubers. Love the magnet core and I don't find it too fast!
This is my first new cube since maybe 2021. The best way I can describe this cube is that my fingers feel like they're pushing air. Whereas other cubes I've had in the past (Tengyun v1, GAN 11 M, RS3M 2020 (reg+maglev)) all have some weight in turning (either due to friction or heavy magnets), this is the first cube I've ever used where I can turn as fast as I want and the cube doesn't get in the way. The other cubes I've listed need to be loosened so much that they start deforming a lot, and even then they're not as effortless in turning.
It is absolutely great for spam. I use roux, so this is important to me and a reason I didn't like the GAN 11 M very much (the magnets made the M-slice take too much energy to turn). The M slice glides with minimal resistance while maintaining stability and control. Better than the Tengyun v1 in my opinion, as it is a MUCH lighter feel and doesn't really lock up like the Tengyun could. It will also auto-align an overshot/undershot M-slice move back into place!
The cube needs to be lubed out of the box. It felt very dry (plastic on plastic or "papery"). I don't follow all the special lubes that much, but some regular silicone weight 3 on a piece and the "triangle" end of a corner piece stalk was enough for me.
I own just about every v11 out there right now and love them all.
That being said, the clear plastic on the 18th anniversary has a glide that the others do not. This is the smoothest turning cube out there, with your choice of lube. It feels light and somewhat hollow - but make no mistake, it is a weapon!
My son loves this cube - it is fast and smooth. He likes that there are no stickers to apply or move around. The cube comes with a nice box and bag. Great cube to add to our collection.
