Was very excited for this cube, but it was a letdown. The tension out the box was bad, with some parts way too tight and others too loose. This would be fine if you could adjust the tension, but one of the too-tight sides had a **** that could not be loosened. That **** stripped immediately due to the tightness - it couldn't be adjusted at all. The middle slices are also uncomfortable to move, and the whole thing generally just feels cheap. Bummer.
Good to maneuver
Seriously. This feels way better than an MGC. I bought an MGC to upgrade from the Zhilong Mini 4x4 that I started training on. Although the Zhilong pops more easily than the MGC when I set the tension loosely, it felt a lot more comfortable and smooth. Ive tried a few other 4x4's, including the standard Vin cube one, and havent been able to find one that feels balanced in the way i like it—not like the Zhilong mini, anyway. I saw THIS variant and noticed it had a ball core too, so I HAD to have it. And WOW! It feels so stable like its on rails! Very satisfying to turn, too! In my honest opinion, this one's hard to beat. ESPECIALLY at such a low price-point!
