This is my favorite 5x5. To be fair, I only have two. My other is a MoYu MeiLong 5m. I like the feel of this YJ better. The magnets feel stronger and have a more satisfying snap into place than the MeiLong. I also like the glossy plastic on this better than the frosted MeiLong. This puzzle has also survived being dropped more times than it should have been. I'm a casual 5x5 solver. I'm not fast and don't compete in it. I do think it would be fine for you if you're fast though. It's very smooth, and I've never even lubed it. I probably should, but it felt so good to me right out of the box. I've lubed my MeiLong and still like this YJ better. I definitely recommend this 5x5.

Great cube. Turns super nice, nice and durable and not to expensive.
After discovering that there even was a mini 5x5, I knew I had to try it.
I couldn't stop solving it once it came in. I messed with the tensions just a tad, added 4-5 drops of 10k weight tube, broke it in and just... Wow.
It spins so beautifully, and the magnets feel so great to me.
I can't go back to a full size 5x5, my times are too good on this thing.
