DianSheng Galaxy Teraminx Magnetic is the first magnetic Teraminx to hit the market!
Key features
After the great Gigaminx release from Diansheng, I was really excited for their Teraminx since I knew it would be good. The Teraminx does need some tensioning out of the box and it also needs to break in, after that the puzzle becomes really good. The only downside I could find is that I wish the magnets were stronger, although they do help with alignment I wish I could feel more of a magnetic pull with each turn I do. Another really good release from Diansheng, and now I can now wait for the Magnetic Petaminx.
Cube turns nicely, and is fun. What else can I say? Looking forward to getting the 9 by 9 version.
I bought this terraminx on sale for about $65 and I have really enjoyed it. I like the larger megaminxs better than the other large cubes like 9x9 because you don't have parity. It takes significantly longer to solve than a 7x7 but it is a nice cube to display. It also has a very nice box it is shipped in.
So this was my first teraminx, and I’m no speed solver. Got this for casual. I didn’t realize I would have so many lock ups. I found when using it in a table, it worked great. But it I feel like the pieces a bit loose. Like there’s a lot of spread between the pieces and if you go too loose on the **** tension, you can pop out pieces which has happened to me. But too tight, and it is harder to turn. So I think you can find a decent balance if you want it to feel really good. All in all, it’s pretty nice. I’m still perplexed how I’ve seen some people speed solve this thing without any lockups.
I have really enjoyed it. It sometimes gets stuck but overall so much fun!
