Speed Lube is a popular lubricant option among speed cubers who are looking to achieve a longer-lasting and specific feel.
Note: Not recommended for cubers inexperienced with puzzle maintenance and setup.
Cosmic lube is far easier to apply and is recommended until you are comfortable with completely disassembling and re-assembling your puzzle.
How it works:
Speed Lube is offered in 8 different weights, each "weight" being a different viscosity or "thickness".
The larger the number, the thicker or more viscous the lubricant. This will in turn create a smoother, more controllable feel.
We find that many cubers will mix different Speed Lubes. A common example would be a higher weight on the core and a lower weight on the pieces to create a quick, smooth feel.

Q: How do I apply Speed Lube and how much should I use?
A: Speed Lube can be applied in various different ways thanks to the precision dispensing tip -- there isn't necessarily a "wrong way" to apply it. The amount used will vary depending on your desired feel.
Q: When should I apply and re-apply?
A: Applying lubricant to a new puzzle is an easy, cheap, way to extend the lifespan by reducing friction and also improve performance. Re-apply as desired.
Q: Does Speed Lube mix well with other lubricants?
A: Yes, Speed Lube mixes well with any of our Cosmic lubricants or other Speed Lubes.

This lube is very good! It is a great weight for those who are looking for some basic lube but isn't to in deep in the cube world and don't have super high end cubes like i do. it performs its duty very well and i will be sticking with weight 3 for a while!

I got this lube for my 3x3 primarily because weight 5 was much too slow, even as a person who really likes controllability. I stepped down to weight 3 since I assumed that getting weight 4 would barely make a difference and still be too slow. I really like weight 3, if you prefer really fast performance this will definitely still be too thick, but for me it was a good balance between not being slow and draggy and also not causing accidental double moves. Currently using this for the core and lunar for the pieces, and so far it's my favorite combination of lubes.
Great mixture of control and speed. I'd advise to add a tiny bit at first, and then add more if needed. It's a little sticky on the fingers, so keep that in mind! It's viscous enough that it won't spill out the cube, similar to weight 4 and 5 :)

It's a bit Bessy and you wouldn't want to get it on your fingers. It makes it more controllable, it's best with stardust and lunar.
I realized it's not really for speed but for control, I combine it with stardust to make it the perfect balance between speed and control
Its a weight 5 cube so it last long when i used it with my rs3m 2021 maglev. that cube Got Fast And Controllable Its nice I will buy it again
This lubricant gives a very smooth and fast feel unlike weight 5 it is not that gummy. It also works great with Martian.

It was advertised to be pretty fast but it honestly just slowed my cube down. It feels really gunky to turn, almost like there is glue in the cube.

This is pretty basic stuff. It did it’s job!
This lube does the job here, no complaints. I added a few drops of lube to my speedcube, and it got fast and it felt airy and smooth. For me, the few drops of lube kept the cube fast and smooth for a whole month before it starts to wear off and you have to put the few drops again. Overall, great experience with the lube, I would recommend to someone if you want your cube fast and smooth.

Weight 3 is the perfect balance between speed and control. If your cubes cannot take heavy lubes, this is the lube you are looking for.
